La Mirada’s Coffee with a Cop Fosters Community Connection

The La Mirada community came together for a morning of coffee, conversation, and camaraderie at the annual Coffee with a Cop event on October 1, 2025, hosted at Hygge Coffee.

The event saw a vibrant turnout from local businesses, City Council members, Commissioners, Cerritos College board members, CERT volunteers, Chamber of Commerce representatives, La Mirada Public Safety, City staff, Neighborhood Watch, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Attendees enjoyed warm hospitality from Brian Chin of Hygge Coffee, who provided the perfect setting for meaningful discussions. The La Mirada Chamber of Commerce added to the morning’s charm by supplying delicious pastries, delighting residents and business representatives who joined the gathering.

The event offered a unique opportunity for community members to connect with local law enforcement and civic leaders in a relaxed atmosphere, fostering stronger ties and open dialogue, “It was a fantastic morning filled with great coffee and even better conversation,” said one attendee.
