Notable Arrests

Two suspects were arrested throughout La Mirada for various warrants and narcotics violations. 

Robbery

A robbery was reported on the 12800 block of La Mirada Boulevard. This incident is still under investigation.

Aggravated Assault

A late-night assault was reported on the 13500 block of Heflin Drive. One suspect was arrested during the incident. An assault occurred on the 15000 block of La Mesa Drive. One suspect was arrested for the incident. An assault was reported on the 14800 block of Mercado Avenue. This incident is still under investigation.

Residential Burglary

An afternoon burglary occurred on the 15400 block of Lofthill Drive. A residential burglary was reported on the 15900 block of Promontory Place.

Other Structure Burglary

A daytime burglary was reported on the 15300 block of Valley View Avenue.

Grand Theft

A catalytic converter theft occurred on the 16500 block of Trojan Way.

Grand Theft Auto

A SUV was reported stolen on the 15200 block of Imperial Highway.

PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION

The Public Safety commission studies, makes reports, holds hearings, and makes recommendations to the City Council on matters relating to public safety in the City.

Major areas of responsibility include: items of traffic safety as related to traffic and pedestrian control; and adequacy of police, fire, and health services.

Meetings are open to the public-with an opportunity for residents to speak or just observe. They are held the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at La Mirada City Hall.
