La Mirada Library Events – December 2025

The La Mirada Library is closing out 2025 with a creative, educational, and festive lineup for all ages. Here’s what’s happening this December:

Adult 101: Persona – Express Yourself with a DIY Bobblehead

Tuesday, December 2 • 5–6 p.m.
Are you Spider-Man online but Peter Parker in real life? Explore identity, self-expression, and confidence through guided activities — then create your own personalized bobblehead.
For ages 10–17.

Holiday Creation Station

Wednesday, December 3 • 3:30–4:30 p.m.
Celebrate the season with hands-on holiday crafting. Kids can make cards, gifts, decorations, and more using materials provided by the library.
For ages 3–12 with a parent or caregiver. Space is limited.

Smarty Pants Storytime

Thursdays, December 4 & 11 • 11–11:30 a.m.
A fun school-readiness program featuring stories, songs, rhymes, and movement.
For ages 2–5. Registration required.

Music Fun

Thursdays, December 4 & 11 • 2:30–3:15 p.m.
A Biola University music therapy student leads this interactive session designed to support communication, motor skills, and emotional development.
For ages 3–5. Limited to 12 participants. Email BCastillo-Adame@library.lacounty.gov for waitlist.

Basic Tech Training

Friday, December 12 • 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Learn the essentials of digital literacy, including email, apps, cybersecurity, and smartphone basics.
Part of the Delete the Divide digital equity initiative.

Book Club – Pick One or Read Both

Friday, December 19 • 10:30–11:30 a.m.
