The City of La Mirada is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved Concerts Under the Stars series, set to light up La Mirada Regional Park every Thursday evening from June 12 through August 7, 2025.
This family-friendly summer tradition promises vibrant live music, delicious food from Night Market vendors, and a welcoming community atmosphere at 13701 Adelfa Avenue.
The 2025 season kicks off on June 12 with a lively performance by the band Cold Duck-a So Cal favorite since 1969-known for their dance music and the ability to play a mix of Top 40, Soul and Latin sounds.
Each week, concertgoers can expect a diverse lineup of musical genres, including Top 40 hits, arena rock, country, 70’s disco, 80’s/90’s, classic rock and even a tribute band celebrating The Smiths and Morrisey, ensuring something for every music lover.
On July 24, the venue changes for one evening only to La Mirada Creek Park for the annual Stroll in the Park where three bands play simultaneously; enjoy one of the groups or go for a “stroll” and take in all three.
This year’s performers include the Johnny Cash tribute band “The Mighty Cash Cats,” the British Invasion band “Classic Rock Junkies,” and Salsa band “Latin Soul.”
La Mirada Creek Park is located at 12021 Santa Gertrudes Avenue.
All concerts run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Night Market vendors opening at 5:00 p.m. to offer a variety of tasty dishes, fresh produce, and creative crafts. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic gear to make an evening of it.
“This series is about bringing our community together to enjoy great music and good company under the summer sky,” said La Mirada Community Services Director Oliver Osuna. “It’s a tradition that families look forward to every year.”
Fitting nicely into the Thursday schedule this year and always a special highlight of the summer is the La Mirada Independence Day/July 3rd Celebration.
Although the event officially runs from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. residents pack the park all day playing games, BBQing and waiting for the dazzling fireworks display at approximately 9:00 p.m. The music lineup for this special day includes performances from country band “Dawson,” and Latin pop and salsa band “Tabu.”
Roughly 10,000 people attend this celebration annually. Overflow parking and a shuttle service will be available at Biola University for this event only.
Finally, the August 7th concert will coincide with National Night Out, fostering community engagement and neighborhood camaraderie with local law enforcement through music and activities.
