In the heart of La Mirada, at 12279 La Mirada Boulevard just north of Imperial Highway, a new sanctuary is quietly taking root, one devoted not just to movement, but to nervous system reset, personal renewal, and community connection. Vine Yoga, now in its soft-opening phase, is the vision of a seasoned wellness professional who has spent over two decades at the intersection of science, movement, and healing.
Before opening the studio, she built a diverse career as a kinesiologist, pharmacy operations specialist, and continuing education faculty member. Certified in sound healing, prenatal yoga, barre, functional movement, and more, her journey into yoga wasn’t trend-driven, it was personal. Yoga began as rehabilitation after injuries from athletic training and demanding work environments. Over time, it became her anchor, offering emotional resilience, space to breathe, and what she calls “the prosperous route” through life’s chaos.
Her inspiration to open a studio in La Mirada came from a simple observation: “This city is vibrant and family-centered, but there were few boutique spaces offering truly individualized care.” Vine Yoga was born from a desire to create “Your Daily Retreat” – a space where locals can disconnect from noise and reconnect with themselves without the pressure of a commercial gym.

The path to opening has been entirely grassroots. This has included painting walls, sourcing props, and curating an intimate atmosphere. The space is intentionally designed with natural textures, soft lighting, and a flowing entry that guides guests into a serene Reset Room. A white mandala and vine motifs symbolize growth and interconnectedness which is a visual reminder of the studio’s ethos.
What sets Vine Yoga apart is its concierge-style approach. With classes capped at twelve students, every individual is seen, supported, and guided. Offerings include Gentle Yoga, Yin, Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative Flow, Sculpt, Barre Yoga, and Deep Stretch. Each class is accessible to beginners with props like blocks, bolsters, straps, and chairs. Specialty experiences such as prenatal yoga, heated classes, fascia flow, sound baths, and corporate wellness programs deepen the studio’s reach.
Her teaching philosophy is simple yet profound: Reset, restore, and renew. “Yoga isn’t about perfect poses, it’s about nervous system regulation and self-management,” she explains. Students often report surprising results: better sleep, reduced joint pain, emotional clarity, even decreased reliance on medication. One senior regained hip mobility and returned to traveling; another found relief from chronic pain without injections; others experience sharper focus, more effective heart medication response, and relief from sciatica.
For those intimidated by yoga, she offers reassurance: “Everyone starts somewhere. Our studio exists to meet you exactly where you are.”
The La Mirada community has already responded with warmth. Neighbors wander in to peek through the door, seniors express gratitude for gentle classes, and early members describe the studio as a long-awaited local haven. Looking ahead, Vine Yoga plans community sound baths, charity classes, seasonal challenges, and collaborations with local businesses.
The vision extends far beyond classes. The upcoming Reset Room will offer Ayurveda treatments, reiki, yoga nidra, assisted stretching, and more. A 21-Day Challenge is in development, along with CEU courses for instructors in somatic-informed yoga for seniors.
In five years, she envisions Vine Yoga as La Mirada’s trusted hub for healing arts, retreats, and mentorship. A true anchor in the community’s wellness journey.
