Deputies asked the public to keep an eye out for a man with medical issues who went missing from a convalescent hospital in La Mirada on Friday night.
Von Earlsal Cowan, 60, was last seen about 7:30 p.m. when he walked away from a facility in the 12200 block of La Mirada Boulevard, just north of Imperial Highway, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials said in a written statement.
"Mr. Cowan suffers from a medical history of heart and kidney failure, and high blood pressure," according to the statement. "There is a concern for Mr. Cowan’s well being because of his medical history and condition."
The missing man was described as Black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 185 pounds, with brown eyes and a bald head. He was last seen wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and brown pants.
