Corley Drive was rocked by tragedy early Saturday morning when a man and a woman were discovered dead inside a home, prompting a homicide investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

On March 15th, the department received a call at at approximately 5:30 a.m. Deputies from the Norwalk Station responded to the 13200 block of Corley Drive. Upon arrival, deputies located a female adult and male adult inside the location, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the L.A. County Fire Department.

Rhonda Alder, 56, died from a gunshot wound to the head and her death has been ruled a homicide by the LA County Medical Examiner's Office. Timothy Alder, 57, also had a gunshot wound to the head and his death has been ruled a suicide by the office.

The couple's two sons, one possibly a minor, were home at the time of the incident. A neighbor told KTLA she heard a loud noise outside and then a banging at her front door. One of the son's told her, "their dad shot their mom and shot himself immediately after."
