Paper Shredding, E-waste Collection, and Mulch Distribution Event

The City of La Mirada and EDCO have partnered to offer La Mirada residents a free paper shredding, e-waste collection, and mulch distribution event. The event will take
place Saturday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the La Mirada Community Gymnasium parking lot, located at 15105 Alicante Road. Household hazardous waste
will not be collected at this time.
Residents will have the opportunity to shred up to three banker boxes of personal information and have unwanted electronics collected on site. The mulch distribution will be a self-loading service. Residents must bring their own cans/bags and shovel, and there will be a limit of three cans/bags per vehicle. Participants are requested to bring a tarp to cover material if bringing an open truck or trailer.

NLMUSD Meet-and Greet

On Thursday, October 10, come out and meet the candidates for the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District Board Trustee Area 7 (La Mirada), Becky Langenwalter and Dave Constantine.

The event is hosted by the La Mirada Chamber and will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the La Mirada Activity Center Library Room (upstairs), 13810 La Mirada Boulevard.

This is the first election for the district after transitioning from an at-large to a by-trustee area voting system.
